São Veríssimo House
This house was originally a one-story house. The second floor was added to create a house where the family could live comfortably, using part of the existing façade.
On the first floor, there is a space where the living room, dining room and kitchen are integrated with a large atrium. Behind the gate next to the street, there is a parking lot and a platform next to the parking lot. When we walk through the front door from here we will enter the large living/dining room. Next to the entrance, we have a staircase that gives access to the upper floor. Behind the stairs are a closet, a bathroom, an office and a bedroom.
When we go up to the second floor, there is another office space next to the lobby. On one side of the stairs is the children's bedroom and on the other side is a shared bathroom and the entrance to the suite, which has its own bathroom and a walk-in closet. From the windows of the suite, it is possible to observe the trees of the park located across the street.
There is a land height difference in this project where the back is one story higher than the front. This difference makes it difficult for natural light to enter the kitchen, which was solved with the design of generous skylights.
