Competition - Architecture at Zero 2012
The Cactus project arises in response to the challenge launched by the San Francisco division of the American Institute of Architects, through this international competition. A student complex was developed with its buildings energetically interconnected through an internal network. It was intended that the development of the proposal would result in a balance between the buildings' energy consumption and their capacity to produce energy for the campus' internal electrical network, making them at least 50% less dependent on the use of electricity from the public network.
