Vila do Conde House
The project is located on a 430 m² plot with an almost rectangular configuration, whose main facade faces east. The intervention involves the rehabilitation of an existing single-story house and the construction of a new two-story building, resulting in a modern and functional single-family home.
The main entrance is accessed via a pedestrian pathway that crosses a courtyard and leads to the social area of the house, where the dining room seamlessly integrates with the kitchen, creating an open and fluid environment. The living room, situated in the new extension, provides a direct connection to the outdoor space, where there is a courtyard with a pool, ideal for family leisure. The private area on the ground floor includes two bedrooms and well-distributed bathrooms, ensuring comfort and practicality.
The first floor is accessible via a staircase that leads to a more private area of the house, consisting of an office and a spacious suite with a private bathroom. Both spaces have access to a terrace that wraps around the house, allowing for a privileged connection with the outdoors.
This project combines the rehabilitation of an existing house with the creation of a new building, respecting the past while introducing a contemporary design that highlights natural light, comfort, and functionality, maintaining a strong connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
