O Muro Antigo Restaurant
This is a bar restaurant in Ribeira, the UNESCO world heritage area in Porto, Portugal. This restaurant was established more than 20 years ago and it serves typical Portuguese food. The new restaurant project started because of its relocation. Several well-known artists including Fernando Lanhas frequently ate in this restaurant, and they paid with their arts which decorates the interior of the restaurant. The existing building elements, wood beams, stone wall, wood window frames and doors are reused in this project, and several memorable objects of the owner who lived in Africa occupy the wall and ceiling. Small bar space wall is covered with mirror for occupants feel the space larger and it is illuminated original design lamps made from wine bottle. The Douro river and Dom Luis I bridge can be seen from large 1st floor space.
