Sealife Porto

​The project for Sealife in Porto consisted of three objectives: the creation of a tunnel that would enable the transition between the exterior garden and the interior aquarium (in order to stop natural light from reaching inside) and a module with a coffee shop and a WC.
Taking into account the location of the project, in the exterior garden of Sealife near Porto’s municipal park, treated wood was chosen as the exterior finishing material, in order to integrate de proposal in its surroundings.
The module’s design, taking advantage of the water theme and the children’s playground designed like a boat which exists in the garden, it’s inspired by a treasure’s chest: with its exterior in wood and its interior in bright red, much like the lining inside the wooden box where a treasure would be kept.
